Primary support with minor tear to lower left edge and right and above center, the letter with the repair to the versa, visible upon first and inspection. Primary support hinged top into window match. Some green pigment is darkening and flaking, including curtain and thrown in top right picture, Doty of male figure in bottom left corner, and bolster behind figure and bottom right corner, consistent with the materials and techniques of the period.

Primary support with losses and abrasions to surrounding red borders, visible upon first hand inspection. Diagonal crack in upper layers of paper at top left, with some associated pigment loss, as visible upon first hand inspection. Further losses and pigment layers include part of Krishna's turban and dumber buns, and hair of his companion, also visible in illustration and upon first hand inspection.
