The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Good condition, nice color and surface to the walnut, knees to two legs with some minor scuffs, seat rails with some old worm damage now filled in, the two long seat rails each with a later wood brace joined by H stretcher, the long rails with losses from old upholstery nails with restorations to the curved aprons at joins with the legs again because of upholstery holes; old repaired break to end of one short stretcher with one leg; overall the stool is sturdy and with nice subtle carving; usual old scratches, bruises and scuffs consistent with age and use.
