Maker's mark on body and marks on flange are clear, the maker's mark for Augustine Courtauld is spurious. Other marks slightly rubbed but legible. The engraving is clear. Overall the surface with some pitting and a couple of tiny pin dents. The wood handle with some wear, a couple of gouges and lower terminal re-stuck and with pinned reinforcement to wood. Pins to upper handle terminal are probably repositioned. The foot possibly cut down and the edges sharp.
