The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Both paintings are on unlined canvases, these are held under tension and remain stable. The impasto of the upper paint layers remains well preserved. The modelling of the composition is intact and presents very well in natural light. There are three very minor paint losses in the upper right corner of the Summer flowers. There is a fine pattern of cracquelure across the surface of the canvases. Examination under ultra-violet light shows some scattered retouching to the craquelure. The canvases appear to have had a light clean at some point.
