The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
CASE: The gilt mounts generally quite clean with some inevitable tarnishing and surface dirt evident. The patinated sphere and column with some rubbing and losses. Small chips and losses to the mahogany veneers. A repaired patch to the rear door. The front door with access for winding. The rear door for fine adjustment.
DIAL: The silvering tarnished and with oxidisation.
MOVEMENT: With tarnished plates and steelwork. Generally clean. The pendulum suspension hook is broken and will require replacement together with fixing to the crutch. The brass and steel grid-iron bars are dirty and tarnished and would benefit from cleaning.
Requires a winding key.
