The dial, with silvered hour and minute rings, set within the band of an orb with snake pointer, on a tapering column above stepped square section plinth housing the twin barrel movement, with pinwheel escapement striking on two bells, strikework to front plate and vertical linkage to sphere, signed to lower backplate 'Bofenschen', the nine-bar grid-iron compensated pendulum with thermometer scale and signed 'P. BOFENSCHEN'
