The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
CASE: The tortoiseshell and brass veneers with overall restoration to lifting; subsequent infilling of gaps with a resinous filler, some loses to inlay. The rear door probably later. Old restorations to the case overall. Some mounts in need of re-pinning, including the edge mount to the right side to the left side of the glass panel and the plain brass mount below; and the back left foliate mount to the domed top section.
DIAL: The enamel chapters with damages to 'III', 'IV' and 'V'. Other hairline cracks and surface dirt overall. The counterbalance tip of the minute hand is broken off and lacking. Both hands tarnished and oxidised.
MOVEMENT: General tarnishing to the plates and motionwork overall.
With pendulum. No case key. Requires a winding key.
