CHINA, LATE MING-EARLY QING DYNASTY, 17TH- EARLY 18TH CENTURY
Modeled recumbent with the head lowered, and a poetic inscription to the base, signed Shen Cunzhou, the detachable cover incised with feather markings and a two-character inscription to the cover interior which reads cang xiang ('hidden incense'), all covered with a blackish-green patina
