The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In sound condition and ready to place. The marble with natural inclusions, some scattered light surface scratches, small nicks and some 'nibbles' to edges. Each lid with some small chipped losses, one with a repaired crack and with associated infill. The ormolu with typical rubbing, oxidation, tarnish and some small areas of verdigris. One of the rings on one lid loose due to lacking hardware, but secure.
