The canvas has been relined. With moderate frame abrasion and restorations to the extreme edges visible under natural light. The canvas with a ¹⁄₄ in. long puncture at the lower center, to the left of the figures calves. Overall with scattered areas of craquelure, most notably along the edges. With areas of possible repairs to the canvas, including parallel to the upper edge. Examined under ultraviolet light. Overall with scattered areas of restorations and inpainting, most notably to the background. Further inspection hindered by a milky green varnish. Please note that Christie’s does not guarantee the condition of frames.
