The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas with a ¹⁄₄ in. long puncture at the lower center, to the left of the figures calves. Overall with scattered areas of craquelure, most notably along the edges. With areas of possible repairs to the canvas, including parallel to the upper edge. Examined under ultraviolet light. Overall with scattered areas of restorations and inpainting, most notably to the background. Further inspection hindered by a milky green varnish.
