The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

There are the inevitable minor dents, marks, scratches and rubbing consistent with age and use.
Gilding : the handle of the cover is slightly loose.
there are some traces of tarnishing and very minor traces of verdigris.
Porcelain : Viewed without dismantling the bronzes. The cover and the body show a network of craquels, characteristic of this type of glaze, some with possibly hairlines. Some sections of the branches have been restored, with associated over spraying and touch-ups.
The porcelain cover : a few restored chips with associated touch-ups to the cover's ring. A hole has been pierced to the center of the cover to fit the finial. Some nicks to the cover.
The porcelain body : holes have been pierced at the based, have been fielding and restored with touch-ups. Two holes have been pierced to fit the mount. The relief decoration under both side handles of the body has been damaged to fit the mount. The foot has possibly been reduced to fit the mount.
