The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Good overall condition.
There are the inevitable minor dents, marks, scratches and rubbing consistent with age and use.
As stated in the catalogue, the both pierced friezes are removable.
There are some losses to the porcelain buttons revealing the material underneath.
Some losses to the porcelain, especially to the tops.
One button is missing on one base.
Gidling : there are some minor signs of tarnishing and very minor traces of oxidation and verdigris, especially to the feet.
Porcelain : Viewed without dismantling the bronzes.
Both covers are pierced to fit the finial. The rims has possibly been reduced to fit the mount with associated chips and nicks. One cover with chips to the upper rim. One body with relief decoration stud missing. Some studs with losses of glaze due to surface chips. The bases are not visible due to the mount.
