The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The catalogue illustrations are accurate.
Good overall condition.
There are the inevitable dents, marks, scratches and shrinkage cracks consistent with age and use.
As stated in the catalogue, the border of the top, some parts of the feet's veneer and the leather are probably later.
There are some losses to the gilding revealing the red bole, white gesso and bare wood underneath, especially to the arms of both left putti, and to the edge of the front right foot.
There are some very minor losses to the ebonised, especially to the top.
Some minor parts of the veneer are slightly lifted, especially to the top.
As expected, the stretcher was reinforced with wooden blocks, and there are some restorations.
There are some scratches, traces and stains to the leather top as expected, especially red stains to the center of the top.
