The pear-shaped ewer on spreading foot chased with reed-and-ties repeated on the mid-rib and on cover's rim as well as on the basin, the lower part of the body chased with large fluted and on the collar with rococo motifs with cartouche held by laurel garland under the spout, the cover with bullrushes motifs and bud finial, engraved below the spout with a vacant medallion framed by foliate sprays, the oval basin with wavy rim and engraved below the rim with a foliate frieze and on the side with a medallion centred by initials IPF, marked on undersides and in cover with charge, date-letter (Z and A) and maker; on rims with decharge; with later French control mark: department for 1809-1819 and Minerve
