The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The interior strengthened with heavy consolidation and encrustation, which seems to have split away from the lower edges of the helmet. Traces of glue/resin on the interior. The underside of the neck-guard with many cracks to the surface, and a lot of glue/resin visible. The bridge between cheek guards broken, and a spot of old glue repair visible inside. The exterior with a rich red and green mottled patina. With minor pitting and scratching. The attachments on the crown likely restored. The proper right fork of central plume broken away and repaired with glue, the top of proper left fork chipped away.

Chips and wear to the edges elsewhere. Interior strengthened with consolidation and applied encrustation. Exterior with large areas of overpainting including the bright rust colour and surrounding areas, particularly the length along the shin.
