The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Le tableau a fait l'objet d'un rentoilage. Il est sur un châssis, rapporté à clefs.
A l'oeil nu, on constate des retouches dans le ciel (le bleu semble avoir été renforcé). On constate également des retouches ponctuelles dans le bleu-vert de l'eau.
L'examen à la lumière UV révèle des retouches importantes dans le ciel et les nuages. On constate quelques retouches ponctuelles dans les architectures notamment dans la partie inférieure du quatrième palais sur la gauche.
Le tableau est sous un vernis nettoyé par endroits. Traces d'anciens vernis résiduels dans la partie inférieure.

The painting has been relined and is held under correct tension on a keyed stretcher.
In natural light, retouching is visible in the sky, where the blue appears to have been strengthened. Some scattered retouching can also be seen in the blue-green areas of the water.
UV examination reveals extensive retouching in the sky and clouds. Some scattered retouching can also be seen in the architecture, notably in the lower section of the fourth palace from the left.
The varnish has been partially cleaned. Traces of residual older varnish are visible in the lower section.
