The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In 'country house' condition, the green leather very faded and with marks and scratches consistent with age and use, further marks to the wooden steps, some area of abrasion around the brass clasp. Evidence of historical, apparently inactive, woodworm. Some of the brass mounts a little loose. Structurally sound and ready to place.
