The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

There is some bitumenisation to the frame, with associated areas of loss and flaking, the largest measuring approximately 12.5 cm. wide. There is a section missing from the upper right edge of the frame, measuring approximately 4 cm. deep and 5 cm. wide. There are some small holes visible to the edges of the frame. There are some instances of inactive woodworm to the extreme edges of the frame in places. There is some paint loss to the sign, primarily in the lower left quadrant, with a few further instances elsewhere. There is a scratch, measuring approximately 20cm, to the upper left quadrant. There are some losses to the edges of the boards. There is some surface dirt and wear commensurate with age.
