DIAL: 614 x 734 in. dial, the silvered chapter ring with Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, fleur-de-lis half hour markers, pierced blackened steel hands, the centre with alarm setting disc, mock pendulum and date apertures, four subsidiary dials to the angles for 'Strike / Not strike', 'Faster or Slower', the lower (non-functioning) dials for 'Swing', foliate engraved borders and lower cartouche inscribed 'T: Tompion', four latched dial feet
MOVEMENT: the plates joined by six latched ringed pillars (one pinned), twin chain fusees, now with anchor escapement, hour strike to bell, the backplate with foliate engraving and wheat-ear border, oval cartouche engraved 'T: Tompion', pendulum holdfast
