Presenting well overall, structurally sound and ready to use. With scattered age and construction cracks. Overall with general marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs consistent with age and use. As stated in the cataloguing, the gilt and japanned decoration possibly original with refreshments, mainly to the ground color; some craquelure to the surface, possibly to a layer of varnish atop the decoration. The splats with some repairs to the outermost curving edges, the proper right splat with a loss at its proper left edge. Further repairs to the proper left back leg, and to the front seatrail, by the proper right leg. The arms stabilized with later screws, visible at the inside edge of the stiles. Overall with evidence of minor woodworm, now inactive. The later upholstery with minor marks, faint discoloration and overall signs of wear, as to be expected from use.
