The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

With a clean, complete well-maintained appearance, structurally sound and ready to use. With scattered age and construction cracks, and with general overall marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs consistent with age and use. The proper right front leg with some more extensive repairs to the raised areas of its fluting; the applied molding lacking atop the proper left back leg. The proper right back leg with two modern screws from the back of the closed body into (now stripped) holes at its upper rail, possibly previously fixed in place. The veneers throughout with scattered fraying, lifting, and minor cracks with minor areas of losses and signs of infill and restorations. The surface polished, apparently including some varnish or lacquer over the hinges. Evidence of minor woodworm damage, now inactive, to the substrate.
