Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
With a clean, complete well-maintained appearance, structurally sound and ready to use. With scattered age and construction cracks, the longest horizontally to the back, and the proper left side with a few long vertical cracks, none unstable. Overall with general marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs consistent with age and use. The veneers with scattered fraying, lifting, and minor cracks with minor areas of losses and signs of infill and restorations. The surface polished. The baize lining later, as to be expected, and the pulls replaced, as noted in the cataloguing. Possibly originally with escutcheons or brass linings to the keyholes. The apron with a minor impression to its front, presumably from an old impact. Overall good condition, ready to place. With one key.
