Shaped oval raised on four fluted tupie feet headed by laurel garlands, the sides applied with cartouches of reeds and flowerheads, one side enclosing game birds, the other side with chickens, further applied with ribbon-tied garlands, the scrolled ends cast with female masks and with garland-form ring handles, engraved on the underside with script initial B below a coronet, the domed cover further applied with ribbon-tied garlands, the finial formed as an artichoke, melon, and broccoli on foliage, the associated removable liner with fixed ring handles, marked on underside with maker's mark and town mark, also with date letter, unclear, the associated liner marked on underside with maker's mark GMH in a cartouche a bird above, possibly for Gotthelf Moritz Hauptvogel, town mark, and date letter B, the cover apparently unmarked
