With a clean, complete appearance, the exterior well-maintained and the interior well-adapted, structurally sound and ready to use. With scattered age and construction cracks, including scattered long cracks to larger sections of veneer, the most prominent spanning the top, approx. 7 in. from the back edge. Overall with general marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs consistent with age and use. The veneers with scattered fraying, lifting, and minor cracks with minor areas of losses and signs of infill and restorations, most prominently at the crossbanded borders. As stated in the cataloguing, the cabinet has been later-fitted at the interior with four deep drawers, the cabinet doors with later fabric linings. The brass mount with some minor surface scratches, casting flaws, verdigris and rubbing, as to be expected. Some apparent lacquer to its surface slightly discolored in areas. Overall good condition.
