The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The ormolu with some scattered minor running, tarnish and oxidation, mostly to the base of the plinth. The figure slightly loose and now lacking a device to his right hand. The glass in generally good condition with some minor chips and abrasions, mostly to extremities, one crack to glass mostly obstructed by the seated figure and not readily visible; the glass base of the upper section with a loss (approx. 1.5 cm. by 4 cm.) to its proper right corner.
