The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In sound condition. With typical scattered nicks, marks and scratches, consistent with age and use. The marble top with natural inclusions, small 'nibbles' and some chipped losses to the extreme edges, not extensive; likely an old replacement. With a few repaired breaks and associated infilled repairs, including across the center, inscribed in black '# 1127' at its underside. With scattered lifting and losses to the veneer, including to bottom of each door and top of the right door. Each door with stress and age cracks, and with areas of associated restoration. The interior lined with pink silk, now fraying and lifting in areas, and with scattered water stains, as to be expected with age. The ormolu mounts with some minor surface scratches, casting flaws, verdigris and rubbing, as to be expected; re-gilt, but apparently original to the piece, with an attractive soft tone; with evidence of some earlier mercury gilding. The lock replaced, and interior locking mechanism on left-hand door now lacking. No Key.
