A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall in good condition; typical small chips and restorations to the applied flowers, foliage and vines; some small sections of vine missing; the covers affixed to the vase; one cover with restoration to its rim; the other with its finial reattached. One base covered by a metal plate, the other visible, showing the faint blue crossed swords mark. The mounts regilt with signs of earlier mercury gilding; one ormolu base slightly different than the other and slight differences in the surface treatment of the ormolu of the pierced galleries; the ormolu with some minor surface scratches, casting flaws, verdigris and rubbing, as to be expected.
