With a clean, complete well-maintained appearance, structurally sound and ready to use. With scattered age and construction cracks, as to be expected. Overall with general marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs consistent with age and use, including several with later corner blocks added to their back legs, as well as repairs to earpieces, feet and prominent areas of the splats and curving stiles throughout. The chairs stamped III, IV and V each with repaired legs. The veneers with scattered fraying, lifting, and minor cracks with minor areas of losses and signs of infill and restorations, as to be expected. Some fading to the surfaces, most prominently at the cresting. Overall with evidence of some woodworm, now inactive, and some infill to wormholes which is now darker than the surrounding timber. The chair stamped VI with a resulting triangular section off its back proper right foot. The upholstery with minor marks, discoloration, some thinning, splits, and overall signs of wear, as to be expected from use.
