The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The pile remains full and thick througout, resting several millimeters above the knot collar. As a result of this, the carpet has a very heavy handle. The raspberry-red ground has a number of tonal abrashes that include a cooler lilac tone to a light blush pink. The shaded green lozenges within the field display the same number of varying tonal changes that range from a pale sage-green to a yellow mustard-green and a cooler sea-green. All four sides have been overcast with a thick dark brown wool and have a material tape stitched to the reverse for stability. Overall this carpet is in very good condition.
