The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The pile is mostly full, resting several millimeters above the knot collar, with areas of wear in the upper half of the field where the knot collar is beginning to become visible. The colours are well saturated, with small touches of a chocolate-brown dye used in places which has corroded slightly more than the rest of the pile. There is a neat fireplace cut in the right hand main border which measures approximately 205 x 84cm, which has been carefully colour matched to the rest of the carpet and well executed. There are some small areas of repiling to the brown field. These include areas around the flowering motif in the lower half of the field, a rectangular area to the right if that which measures 10 x 8cm. and a small circular touch in the upper half of the field, approximately 5cm. in diameter. There are additional small touches of repiling in the outer border. In the lower border at the center is a vertical split which measures 10cm. long in which some warps have become exposed. In the left hand border is another smaller split which measures 2cm. long. A fabric strip has been added on all four sides for display purposes.
