The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The pile has uneven wear, in some places resting above the knot collar, but in others just below it. The carpet has been reduced in length, and there is a straight horizontal cut where it has been put together. There is a rectangular reweave in the left hand border which measures about 15 x 30cm.The pile has scattered old repiling, which have been executed in dyes slightly lighter in tone than the original. The selvages are original. There is some loss to the bottom corner, but otherwise the ends are complete, secured, and finish with a long fringe. Strips of material have been added to the edges, but in some places are starting to fray.
