The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
A: Very minor losses to carving commensurate with age. One carved repair to gallery and some repaired breaks. Repaired split to dove tail housing on tri-form base and thread possibly secured with peg. 1446 in graphite pencil to underside. Formerly with castors.
B: Two old shrinkage cracks to gallery. Minor loss to gadrooning on top edge of top. 1*65 in graphite pencil to underside. Later spider plate possibly 18th c. Lower thread slightly shorted to accommodate metal spider plate.
Formerly with castors. One leg secured with steel screw, apparently an 18th century repair. Three repaired splits to dovetails housings on tri-form base. Lacking one foliate clasp between legs, with minor losses to remaining two clasps.
