In the Louis XVI style, each modelled as bronze figure of a boy, with a stag and boar head at their respective feet, the bronze support decorated with crawling foliate mounts and terminating in gilt arrow head, the ormolu branches with gadrooned drip pans and foliate decorated nozzles, supported on a marble and ormolu mounted pedestal, fitted for electricity
Each: 36 in. (91 cm. ) high; 13 in. (33 cm.) wide; 712 in. (19 cm.) deep
Provenance
Probably acquired by Henry Lascelles, 6th Earl of Harewood (1882-1947) and H.R.H. The Princess Mary, Princess Royal, Countess of Harewood (1897-1965) for the White Drawing Room at Chesterfield House, London,
Removed to Harewood House, Yorkshire upon the sale of Chesterfield House in 1932, thence by descent.
