The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Marks clear: marked on base, on applied masks on base, on the detachable middle section of stem, currently not removable, on all the branches on the ornamental fins on the back of the dolphin terminals, on the rims of the lamp-shaped drip-pans and on the sleeves of the nozzles. The alternative upper section also marked, rim of the alternative finial pushed down slightly. The interior of the stem with original iron rod which extends approximatively 1¹⁄₂ in. below the base: this may have been originally flush of the base and could be remedied.
