The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Scattered age and construction cracks. With scattered chips, losses to carving and painted and gilt surfaces revealing gesso, bole and bare wood in areas as to be expected with use. Evidence of minor old woodworm to carcase (now inactive). The marble with light scratches throughout and some chips and 'nibbles', consistent with use and handling, one repair across the short axis. Sturdy and ready to place.
