In good overall condition. As stated in the cataloguing, the movement and dial are replaced, circa 1820. The glass to the back and its surrounding bezel are also later. The ormolu overall with some minor surface scratches, casting flaws, verdigris and rubbing, as to be expected. The marble with light scratches throughout and some chips, 'nibbles' and small areas of infill, the largest to a horizontal crack at the back proper right corner of the plinth base, consistent with age and handling. The glazing over the dial is lacking. The dial itself with some minor rubbing to the chapter ring, and some hairlines to the enamel; a few chips, mainly around the edge, including a small triangular section above 12 o'clock; the bezel replaced. Some dust to recessed areas, should enhance with a gentle cleaning. Ready to place.
