In good overall condition. As stated in the cataloguing, the case is circa 1775, and the face, hands and movement are replaced, mid-19th century. One element broken off to the right of the maiden's elbow. The ormolu generally with some minor surface scratches, casting flaws, verdigris and rubbing, as to be expected. Appears to retain its original mercury gilding. The marble with light scratches throughout and some chips and 'nibbles', mainly to edges of the plinth base, consistent with age and handling. The glazing over the dial with light scratches, commensurate with age. The dial also with light scratches, some very minor typical chips around the winding holes. Some dust to recessed areas, would enhance with a gentle cleaning. Overall good presentation, ready to place.
