The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

With a clean, complete well-maintained appearance, structurally sound and ready to use. With scattered age and construction cracks, general marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs consistent with use and handling. The gilding with scattered chips, losses to carving and gilt surfaces revealing gesso, bole and bare wood in areas as to be expected with handling, the surface overall likely 'antiqued'. Scattered touch-ups to the gilding. Overall with evidence of minor woodworm, now inactive. The marbles with some chips and 'nibbles', mainly along the back edges, consistent with use and handling, one with a slightly larger chip (approx. 2 in. long, 1 in. wide) to its back edge. Possibly with previous braces in corners. Overall good presentation, ready to place.
