In sturdy condition, ready to place. As stated in the cataloguing, the upholstery is associated. With scattered age and construction cracks, and with general overall marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs consistent with age and use. The back legs with some minor sun-fading; Some evidence of previous old woodworm to the rails at both, now inactive. The upholstery with the expected fading, general wear, restitching, minor marks and faint discoloration, commensurate with age and use. Sections of varying sizes are inserted or restitched, more prominently on the chair with the courting couple. Some losses to both, possibly old moth damage (now inactive). Two backs and one seat all with the strapwork cartouches; the second seat without this design element. Overall good presentation, ready to use.
