The ewer of lobed bombé form, applied at the shoulder with clusters of flowers and foliage, the lower body with a collar chased with scrolls and acanthus and standing on a shaped square base cast with four scrolled feet headed by flowerheads and foliage, the upper rim cast with scrolling acanthus and with beaded scrolled acanthus handle, the shaped circular basin with rim cast with rocaille and beading and with flowers at intervals, on a conforming foot, engraved on the side of ewer and interior of basin with a coat-of-arms below a coronet, marked near upper rim of ewer and underside of basin with French control marks, further stamped on underside of both ODIOT A PARIS
