The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In good overall condition, structurally sound and ready to place. With scattered age and construction cracks. The decoration refreshed and the surfaces regilt, with some touch-ups in a brighter tone. With scattered chips, losses to carving and painted and gilt surfaces revealing gesso, bole and bare wood in areas as to be expected with age. The rails are part-obscured by the upholstery webbing, making it difficult to determine whether the chairs are stamped; these rails also with some previous woodworm, now inactive. There are later corner blocks to each chair, visible through the webbing. The upholstery with minor marks, faint discoloration and overall signs of wear, as to be expected from use. As noted in the cataloguing, one chaise is slightly different, with variations to the carving and legs. Overall good condition.
