The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In good overall condition, structurally sound and ready to place. With scattered age and construction cracks. The surfaces regilt; with scattered chips, losses to carving and gilt surfaces revealing gesso, bole and bare wood in areas as to be expected with age. The rails are part-obscured by the upholstery webbing, making it difficult to determine whether the chairs are stamped; these rails also with some previous woodworm and significant holes from old upholstery tacks. One chair with a minor repair at its proper right arm, and a crack to the back leg at the same side. Previously with castors, now lacking, some of the holes filled in; three chairs slightly rocking when placed. The upholstery with minor marks, faint discoloration and overall signs of wear, as to be expected from use. Overall good condition.
