拍品專文

Born in Volkstedt in 1870, Arthur Storch studied with W. von Rumann at the Munich Academy until 1911, then in Hamberg from 1911-1917, before moving his family back to Volkstedt, where the present beasts were made. His model of a mandrill monkey was exhibited at the 1921 Leipzig fair at the Porzellanpalais Leipzig, the same year the present lion is dated.
