The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The Chinese lacquer elements have been later turned into a casket.
Some losses to the lacquer and to the pigments.
Some cracks and age cracks to the lacquer, some associated with touch-ups.
Some indentations / nicks to the edges, rims and surface.
Some sections (mainly inside) have possibly been relacquered.
Some discoloration and wear.
General age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
