The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
One baluster vase and cover :
An area of restoration under the cover's rim with associated overspraying.
A small chip and a nick to the cover's inner rim.
A small chip inside the mouth rim and to the foot rim.
Some flakes and losses to the enamels.
A kiln grit adhesion to the body.
One gu vase:
An underglaze nick to the mouth rim.
Another baluster vase and cover :
An area of restoration to the cover's rim with associated overspraying and touch-ups.
A few frits to the mouth rim.
The other gu vase:
A few small chips and nicks to the foot rims.
A firing faults associated with a glaze gap inside the neck.
Another baluster vase and cover:
A chip and a few small chips to the cover's inner rim.
A firing fault to the foot rim.
A few minute nicks to the foot rims.
Some wear to the enamels and gilding.
Some scattered firing faults.
General age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
