Nicolas Catrice was a painter of flowers at Sèvres from 1757-1774. The L mark on the bowl is probably for Denis Levé, who was a painter of flowers, patterns and birds at Sèvres from 1754 to 1793 and from 1795 to 1805. The L mark was also used by Louis-François l’Écot, but he typically painted chinoiserie scenes, arabesques and butterflies.
