The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This pair of console tables is in good decorative condition.
They retain much of their original decoration, with some retouching to the legs and marbled tops. Pigment testing indicates that the decoration of the tables underwent a sympathetic restoration in the 19th century as well as more recently.
There are the inevitable marks, scratches and shrinkage cracks consistent with age and use.
Each top with some craquelure to the painted surface, as well as some stains, wear and small losses to the paint; consistent with age and use.
The silvered areas with some consistent and gentle wear, consistent with age and use.
Some minor scuffs, separation to the joins and losses to the decoration of the legs.
Some evidence of historic woodworm, now inactive throughout.
Structurally stable and ready to place.
