The ‘Three Roses’ service is among the most exquisite works of Sergei Chekhonin, showcasing his exceptional talent as both a porcelain artist and graphic designer. The composition is based on a 1922 drawing created for the Grand Hotel ‘Europe’ in St Petersburg (in the collection of the State Hermitage Museum, Mz-G-53). A complete coffee service is part of the State Hermitage Museum (Mz-S-3225).
