The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Architect: The upper part of this figure has been sprayed (including the arms and hands), suggesting that it is restored, but it is not possible to certain what damage it conceals. The head and his left arm have probably been restuck, but to the naked eye there are no repairs, and they do not show up under UV light – only the touch of a sharp point reveals the presence of spray. If there are repairs, then the original elements have probably been restuck – as the modelling appears to be original and replaced elements are usually visible in some way. Lady: Both of her arms and her head appear to have been restuck, and there appears to be some restoration to the frills by her right shoulder.
