The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The enamel overall with some very minor wear, with some tiny hairline cracks near the dragon's body on one side towards the upper silver collar, as well as to the other side near the upper silver collar, the vase and upper mounts slightly loose in the stem, though secure the silver with some minor wear and scratches, with a small split to the lobed sphere on the stem, the wings of the dragon handles all with a little excess solder on the undersides for support, in the making, one wing currently tenuously reattached with glue, could easily come off again, would benefit from either a stronger glue or re-soldering, the wings of the finial possibly also re-soldered at some point, the wood base with some wear to the ebonizing as well as some minor nicks and scratches, presents well.
