The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
With a generally complete, well-maintained appearance. The surfaces throughout with minor scratches, scuffs, nicks, small marks and overall light wear consistent with age and handling. The finial broken across its waist and the internal screw slightly bent, resulting in a minor slant. One of the tripods with a break to one support, one putto handle lacking his cymbals, the other putto lacking his hand-drum. One of the small ormolu rosettes at the middle of the body probably replaced. The surfaces throughout with the typical minor surface rubbing and wear, as to be expected with age and handling, the large ormolu maiden at the side of the plinth with some loss to her gilding and lacking one of the two pins securing her to the body. Some 'nibbles', restorations and repairs to the stone base, mainly to corners and edges, evidence of a previous further ormolu mount to the base which is now lacking. The whole requiring slight tightening, overall in good condition.
